It was exciting and stressful and fun and challenging all at the same time. The order was for two dozen cupcakes and two dozen decorated cookies. While the whole thing was such a learning process, I'm very happy with the end result!
I decorated the vanilla cupcakes with buttercream Christmas trees, sprinkles for ornaments and a fondant star topper.
The chocolate cupcakes were topped with little fondant minions from Despicable Me. I got a little creative with the minions and used royal icing for the goggles and features. This was a quick and easy way to make a lot of cute minions!
For the cookies and I did a really simple sugar cookie with colored icing and fondant decorations. I have to be honest; these were a little bit last minute because I completely forgot about them! But I still think they came out very cute and festive.
All of those pictures are a little yellow-y because I took them the night before and my lightbulbs have a yellow hue but after I packed them all up in the morning they looked great! And no yellow-y photos!
After the fact, the reviews were great and everyone loved the cupcakes! I'm really hoping there will be more orders to come and if so of course I will take lots of pictures!
P.S. I couldn't have done any of this without my amazing helpers and best friends who sacrificed their evening to be with me. They also bought me boba to energize! They know me so well :)
