Holiday Recap

I'm so late posting about the holidays and I'm so sorry! I get to spend the holidays with my boyfriend, who lives in the Philippines, so I have a bad habit of living in a little bubble while he's in town. My friends all know I'm guilty of this and give me a hard time. >.< This visit, though, he ended up needing surgery and he'll be in the States for another 3 months! It's both a good thing (for me) and a bad thing (for his leg).

Anyway, I did bake a few fun cupcakes for the holidays so I'll post some quick pictures!

My favorites were probably the gingerbread and rum cupcakes and, even though I don't like eggnog, the eggnog buttercream was seriously amazing! I experimented with a new chocolate recipe this time and it ended up a little too bitter for my taste so I'll probably try it again with a different chocolate. I have to say though, the Swiss meringue on the hot chocolate cupcake was so deliciously sweet and sticky it actually seemed more like a s'more cupcake. I'm definitely going to expiriment with that in the future. 

Overall, the holiday break was so much fun and way too short!
